Chorale Seeks New Artistic Director/Conductor
September 1, 2017
Dear Friends of the Everett Chorale:
We are reaching out with an important announcement regarding the next season and the future of our vibrant organization. Twenty four years ago, the Everett Chorale was fortunate to recruit Lee Mathews as our Artistic Director and Conductor and in his hands and guidance we have thrived to the point of being know as the preeminent community choir in the area. Under his leadership we have sent performing ensembles all over the world to represent our county in prestigious choral festivals. This coming spring, the Chorale will be represented for the third time in a performance at Carnegie Hall with world-renowned conductor/composer John Rutter. In addition, the Chorale has continued to cultivate and develop community relationships with local instrumental ensembles, area church choir and public school music programs, dance ensembles and local arts groups along with performing in Everett's state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center. After years of building a choral legacy of excellence with the Everett Chorale, Lee has announced his retirement at the end of the 2017-18 season. This means that our coming season will be one of transition.
